International Juried Photography Contest and Show

Contest will be open for entries April 17th to June 16th, 2014

The photographer’s eye is constantly searching for unforgettable images that leave emotional imprints lingering in the mind. They may come unexpectedly or they may be the result of careful and thoughtful planning. But in the hands of an inspired artist, the camera’s glass eye captures more than the visible–it captures the invisible. It captures what is seen by the photographer’s mind’s eye and shares that vision with the viewer.

The Tehama County Photo Club is once again inviting photographers from around the world to enter photos in the 2014 Images from a Glass Eye International Juried Photography Show. This year’s juror is Ibarionex Perello. Mr. Perello is a photographer, writer, educator and host of The Candid Frame Photography podcast. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the photographic industry. His podcasts provide frank, insightful interviews with some of the industry's top established and emerging photographers. Mr. Perello is also the author of five books including: Chasing the Light: Improving Your Photography Using Available Light, 5D Mark III From Snapshot to Great Shots, and Adobe Master Class: Photoshop. He is also the co-author of Visual Stories: Behind the Len with Vincent Laforet and Road to Seeing with Dan Winters. His photographs and articles have appeared in numerous publications and websites including Digital Photo Pro, Outdoor Photographer, Rangefinder, Shutterbug, Popular Photography, DP Review and Scott Kelby's Light It.. He is an adjunct professor at the Art Center College of Design as well as an instructor at the online photography school, Better Photo. His work can be seen www.ibarionex.net.
